Oh Israel by Tracy Nicholls

I have always said, ‘If you want to see proof of God then look at Israel’. That’s how this song started, I was reminded by the Lord of all the prophecies that have so far come true about Israel, how He has made a covenant with them and how their Messiah was sadly rejected by them. Consequently, they have been rejected and persecuted by most of the world and sadly this continues in some parts today. This has left many Jew’s returning back to their native Israel fulfilling yet another prophecy. I have had the privilege of visiting this wonderful land a few times. I have a real love for Israel and her people but when writing and recording this song, the Lord took me to a much deeper level. I felt Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) heart for her, the sorrow, the rejection and yet an overwhelming unconditional love. How His heart yearns for her to turn to Him and recognise Him, the one they pierced, as their Messiah. It was overwhelming and I broke down in tears after singing the final ‘Yeshua’. The bible says if you bless Israel you will be blessed. I truly hope this song blesses Israel and all of you who listen to it. Many thanks to all who helped with this project, especially my wonderful husband Jason Evans who worked tirelessly on this song to get it to sound just right.
