Kristian Naugle's Possum MD episode trailer

This was originally created in 2014 as a way to mock the commonality and popular prevalence of medical drama shows on TV. This is combined with the situation of a local person in the community talking frequently about medical illnesses and injuries. So I sensationalized an expressive mythology about this local resident as a medical personality in a TV series.

Actually, "MD" in Possum MD doesn't mean what you might think it does. The clue is in the script of the episode trailer as to what the true meaning of "MD" is in the Possum MD character concept.

It was in the early 2010's in Corydon Indiana when a man encountered me and repeatedly tried to socialize with me and others by talking about chronic medical illnesses and injuries but the list of things would change every day of the week.

He was lonely and wanted people to talk to but he didn't know how to make conversation, so he talked about the only thing he typically heard people talk about, which is medical conditions.

He kept doing this every day and my mind began to merge this together with how commonly popular and oversaturated the medical drama TV shows are in popular culture. So I began to mythologically explain this person in the community as "America's physician: Possum MD".

However, this concept for a TV series for Possum MD is to satire the medical drama TV series industry but combined with what this person in my community actually says and does. Thus resulting in a potential cult of personality revolving around this local man in a dark humor kind of phenomenon because I get so fed up with medical drama TV shows.

So I show my contempt for the medical drama popularity with a dark humor twist. This is how I created Possum MD (the local man's nickname is actually "Possum" and "MD" means Malpractice Drama).
