Michigan is known for its many shipwrecks, many of which occurred in the Great Lakes region. Some of the most famous shipwrecks in Michigan include the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Carl D. Bradley, and the SS Henry B. Smith. These shipwrecks, along with many others, have become popular diving destinations for shipwreck enthusiasts. The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum located in Whitefish Point, Michigan, also offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the history of these shipwrecks and the people who were aboard them.
