Floyd was creative in his style of drumming and later with his paintings. He transformed the ordinary in his drumming to the extraordinary and his paintings were unique also. There seemed to always be a meaning behind the obvious. A friend of his said, "He loved to interact with [people] on a daily basis." And he loved to laugh. Floyd might be saying: " "I'm painting and playing my way through heaven now."
