Protests have taken place in cities across the US after police bodycam footage was released showing the beating of a 29-year-old motorist who later died.

Memphis Police released footage showing the moment Tyre Nichols called for his mother as he was beaten by five officers.

They each face charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct and official oppression.
