Breaching rounds can be used for a variety of different things. They are more powerful than some people give them credit for. When use for door breaching operations they work fine, but they can also put a whallop on gallon jugs, soda bottles, steel plates, and other things. A breaching round consists of a water proofing over charge wad with compress iron shavings. Often these shavings will be powder aluminum oxide too. Of the few that we broke apart to inspect the contents, the powder was not magnetic which leads me to believe they use aluminum oxide. The felt recoil is similar to loads in it's weight range. If you can get your hands on a few boxes of these, you should, as they are a blast and you never know when you'll need to shoot a door off the hinges.
