The fact of the matter is that you can't stop evil from happening as long as people exist. What happened deeply saddens me. The fact that is occurred in a gun free zone does not surprise me. People are very naive to think that just because some sign says "no firearms allowed" that people will automatically obey the law. Criminals are not concerns about what is just. They most certainly don't value your life over theirs. The only way to level the playing field with evil people is to have a good guy with a gun. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families hurt by this event. We have to stick together and offer support at every turn.
