HITMAN 3: Freelancer - First Assignment

My very first Freelancer mission, this one set on the Isle of Sgail.

From first impression, playing this mode is MUCH more nerve-wracking than regular HITMAN. For one, there is no saving on any mission, so every screwup sticks with you. Hence, running the hell away and playing carefully by KOing NPCs is much more necessary. This is even more so when a territory is alerted, which makes it akin to playing Master difficulty. Whew. Hardcore Mode is gonna be a ballbuster.

On the other hand, getting into the habit of saving your guns, and stealing everyone else's, rather than throwing them away will save lots of cash. (Shame there's no cash out option for already swiped guns.) Taking items with rarity out of levels gives lots more incentive to explore, and the reward crates, which are recycled ICA item crates from HITMAN 2016, are always worth opening.

Quick Tip: Assassins in Showdown missions always carry a suppressed pistol, the HWK 21, which I never used in regular HITMAN but only costs 2 gear slots. Find one and KO them to get a suppressed weapon as early as possible.

All this being said, Freelancer is another Online Required mode, so if the servers ever go down, this content is lost forever. Stupid, stupid decision, IO.
