Intex Portable Hot Tub (Homebase Garage Camping!) #rvlife

Wandering Wagners actually did not wander this weekend! 😮 We planned to camp for the longer holiday weekend (4th of July) but Lynn had to work late on Friday and the more we thought about it the less we wanted to deal with the bigger than normal holiday crowds.
instead we spent the weekend making improvements to the yard, garden, and even the garage campsite for garage camping!
We love hot tubs and have wanted one at the house for a long time. We decided to get a (slightly) used Intex Portable Hot Tub and try it out to see if it would someday be worth it to maybe upgrade to a larger, more permanent hot tub.
We got a 4 person Intex Inflatable hot Tub and proceeded to set it up! It didn't take long to set up, but filling it with water did take some time (to be expected with over 200 gallons of water). Then we were told it would take about 12 hours to get up to temp. We found that it took longer than that, probably close to 16 hours but the water was cold going in so the heater did have its work cut out for it!
It has several bubble air "jets" and it actually makes quite a bit of bubbling action and really take it up a notch!

Overall we are very happy with our new garage camping upgrade at the homebase! Great way to spend the holiday weekend and $400! 😂

Later we took the dogs for a Jeep ride, and got some ice cream. We returned home for a campfire and hot dogs over the fire and then enjoyed some residential fireworks displays!

July 5th is Piper's "gotcha" day and 2nd Adoptaversary! We adopted her from a local shelter and it's hard to believe it's been 2 years already with our girl, Piper.

Next weekend we are planning to camp at Potato Creek State Park in Northern Indiana. We have an appointment in the area so we figured we'd kill two birds with one stone and go camping as well!
