DAY 19 - JESUS IS OUR HEALER, BELIEVE IT!

Mat 8:14 When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, Peter’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever.
Mat 8:15 But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for him.
Mat 8:16 That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick.
Mat 8:17 This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.”

Our physical afflictions must never be separated from that without which they never would have occurred, namely, our sins. Note the context of how very closely Isa 53:4-5 connects these two; verse 4 says —“Surely, our diseases he has borne…”—is immediately followed by: “He was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities.” Note also in Matthew 8:16 : all the sick. No matter what the sickness and no matter how severe or, humanly speaking, “incurable” or “terminal,” all were healed.

As we pray and trust in our Lord for delivering us from all infirmities, sicknesses, and COVID-19 and the like, thank Him that He is your healer. If a sickness tries to come upon you thank the Lord Jesus for healing, it belongs to us. Even if you have to take as the scripture says in Timothy a little medicine for your infirmity sake, thank the Lord that he is your healer. It is written that by His stripes we were healed and the prayer of faith will raise up the sick. We should learn from Peter’s mother-in-law whenever we are healed, we should serve Him with a renewed dedication and vigor.
