Biden: ‘No President Added More to the Debt in Four Years than My President’

Biden: “I — I said that — when I was seeking the nomination, I said, ‘Take a seat, everybody,’ and there wasn’t a single chair in the place. They said, ‘That Biden really is stupid. He doesn’t know it.’ Where is Doug? Congressman? He’s around here somewhere.”

“Not a joke. And one more, I’ve been saying this during the last campaign and the off-year campaign, Doug knows it — Don — look, here’s the deal...”

"The deficit in four — went up four years in a row, accounting for 40 percent of the entire 200 years of debt. You hear me? No president added more to the debt in four years than my president. I — I misspoke. 25 percent of our country’s entire debt.”

“It hadn’t been with my case, but all of a sudden blue-collar workers, all the guys I grew up with in Claymont and Scranton, they’re voting Republican? Not a joke. What’s happened? I think a lot of because they don’t think we care, we’re not paying attention. It’s a little bit like what happened when I ran the first time as a 29-year-old kind for the Senate in 1972 and got elected. We have what we called, what I called ‘limousine liberals.’ A lot of people want to do an awful lot, but they just forgot about my neighborhood, they forgot about the neighborhood I grew up in. We weren’t poor....”
