You shall have no other elohim (gods) before Me. 17) “Do not covet your neighbor’s house, your neighbor’s wife, his manservant, his maidservant, his ox, his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.” Luke 12:13-15 (AMP Classic) ~ Someone from the crowd said to Him ( Yahshua ), Master, order my brother to divide the inheritance and share it with me. But He told him, Man, who has appointed Me a judge or umpire and divider over you? And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from ALL covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man's life does not consist in and is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance or that which is over and above his needs.

Straitway Life Bible Commentary From a Hebrew Roots Perspective For 01/26/2023. Does true lasting happiness or fulfillment come about by coveting and pursuing after the material things and wealth of others? What does coveting look like? Thou shall not covet? Why is there such an extreme lack of contentment in the world today (Especially in America USA and in the Western World)? Does modern advertising give us any indication at all as to how bad covetousness is here in America ( USA )? Are any of the 10 commandments un-American? Does Yahweh God's economic system look anything like the modern American capitalism system? What did Elohim mean when He said, "Have no other Mighty One's or gods Before Me"? What idols have we set up before His face? Money? Fame? Fortune? Possessions? Is covetousness the driving force that leads people to legitimize exploiting one another? Let's examine the sin of coveting today. What is the opposite of coveting? What economic system did the early first century Congregation of Yahweh practice? Communal living? By keeping His Torah as the Holy Spirit leads ( honoring His commands ) and imitating the living Torah ( Christ ), we show our love for our great Elohim. God's grace given to us through our savior Yahshua does not give us license to continue practicing sin ( the breaking of His laws ). 1 John 2:3-4 reads: "And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that says I know Him, and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him". HalleluYAH
