BULLET TIME: Moment Cop's Body Cam Stops Suspect's Bullet From Hitting Her

This is the moment a police officer's body camera stops a suspect's bullet from killing her.

The footage begins with a number of police officers attempting to arrest a woman at her home, but she does not cooperate and instead opens fire on the officers.

The officers return fire and shoot the suspect, with her ending up lying on the floor.

After the police officers take cover and check that the suspect is no longer holding her gun, they emerge from their covered positions.

One officer can then be heard saying how she thought she was shot. She then adds that the bullet had, in fact, hit her camera.

Newsflash obtained a statement from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police on 24th January saying: "The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) released body-worn camera (BWC) video of an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Aug. 19, 2022.

"Based on the wording of the request, only the body-worn camera footage of South Division Officer Brandon Graham is being released after a media member petitioned the courts.

"The subject who died, Ms. Brenda Donahue, was being served an involuntary commitment order by Officers Brandon Graham, Lauren Ehlke, and Kristian Kurtzke, when she fired several shots at officers, striking Officer Ehlke in the chest.

"The bullet lodged in Ehlke’s body-worn camera, and she was not injured in the shooting. South Division Officer Brandon Graham returned fire striking Ms. Donahue. Officers performed life-saving measures including CPR until paramedics arrived. Ms. Donahue was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

"The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations (NCSBI) is handling the officer-involved shooting investigation."
