Woodturning - UV Glow Lamp

I've been asked a few times to make a lamp with a light inside, while I like the idea there is still an issue with dissipating heat (I'm still working on that), so I came up with this idea, I ordered a bag of phosphorus glow powder (which took a lot longer to get through customs than I expected) to put into the epoxy resin.

The idea is the UV lights are inside the hollowed out lamp, you only have to turn the power on for a couple of minutes to re-charge the lamp, it then lasts for a few hours with a nice glow.

I should have really made a purpose built mould to cast the whole lamp at once, there was a small amount of settlement within the powder while the resin cured that's left a slight line around the lamp.

The powder also dulls normal tools within minutes if you are trying this, it acts as an abrasive as you turn. You have to use Carbide ;)...
