"YOU GUYS ARE THE MAIN ATTRACTION" Foreigners at $10 Kolkata theme park 🇮🇳

We landed late at night in Kolkata, and when we woke up, we just wanted something fun to do. Not actually realising that it was Sunday, we headed to Nicco Park, a theme park in Kolkata. When we arrived, we seen the queue of hundreds of people at the entrance - so many people shouting, arguing, pushing and "queueing" - I use the term queueing lightly, they were just pushing wherever they wanted to get in before everybody else.

It's super hot in Kolkata, so the idea of going swimming after the theme park was appealing, so we paid for the full ticket - however, when we got to the water park, it was not appealing at all. It was super busy and lots of groups of lads were messing around. Absolutely no chance of chilling there.

Can't say we enjoyed Nicco Park too much to be honest. It was ok, just not great.

The rudeness of people pushing in queues is unacceptable and Indians need to do something about it. You cannot just push your way to the front, especially using a lie to do so. Stand quietly, shut up, and wait for your turn.

As standard in India, we got asked for lots of selfies, which is cool. I'm generally happy to take a photo with somebody as it makes them happy. Maybe if I'm tired or something I'll say no sorry, but that's rare. If you're a subscriber, I'll take a photo with you even if I'm tired. I still don't even understand what the fascination is with taking selfies with us as they have no idea who we are, just two random white people.
