Kayaking the mangroves of Goa in India 🇮🇳

Goa is generally known for its beaches, or party life, but I fancied doing something a bit different in this part of India.

Goa is noticeably greener than the rest of India, and far more calm, quiet and less hectic. It turns out they've got loads of mangroves with all sorts of different birds, fish and apparently water buffalo. We were supposed to see some otters, but it's wildlife, and can't really be guaranteed.

I was pretty disappointed in this guided kayak session because the guy pretty much just fobbed me off with some lad who wasn't a guide, just someone who kinda showed us the way and kept track of time, for far too much money.

I was expecting a proper explanation about the wildlife and stuff like that. I won't be recommending this company to anybody.

As foreigners in India kayaking in the mangroves, I'd expect a better guide, but the scenery was pretty nice.

We can't be sure what the buffalo was thinking when it was walking towards Tanya. It may have been aggressive, or it may have just been interested, but either way, a buffalo is a huge animal and getting away as quickly as possible was definitely the best option there.
