In this video, Mycophile, VP of the local mycological society, and creator of Mushroom Wonderland takes you on a journey with his family into Mushroom Wonderland. Actually, its an old growth conifer forest, in mid September, which happens to have quite a few species of attractive and useful wild mushrooms that Aaron Hilliard help to identify and discuss edibility and all the other potential uses of these mushrooms.
We encounter a species of Hygocybe, the Chanterelle waxy cap. We also look at Ganoderma applanatum, honey mushrooms (Armillaria), Red Belted Conchs ( Fomitopsis mounceae) , Lobster Mushrooms (Hypomyces lactiflorum), Agarikon (Laricifomes officinalis) , Reishi (Ganoderma oregonense), as well as a few others. Then we go home and look at the Reishi spores under the microscope! Something you dont want to miss!!
