Is Pakistan safe for tourists? 🇵🇰

The question is, is Pakistan safe for tourists, and there's no quick answer, because it depends, like in every country. Pakistan was safe for me, I felt safe in all of the parts of Karachi I visited, in Hyderabad and on the public transport. I was alone most of the time, but for some parts I was with Kurt Caz.

I can't say whether it's safe for a solo female traveller, but as a solo British male traveller, I felt very safe. I felt people in Pakistan would go out of their way to make sure I felt safe, welcomed and secure.

In this video I wander around probably the nicest part of Karachi and maybe even in the whole of Pakistan. I walked for about 20km and was in desperate need of a drink which I eventually found at a super nice restaurant, however, the dirty dessert let it down. I'm not sure how the chef and the waiter could have missed how dirty that bowl was, but it was filthy and not something that should have been provided to any customer, let alone one with a camera.

The most dangerous thing in Pakistan for me was either the huge holes in the pavement, which happens in a lot of countries, or the chance of getting diarrhoea, which we both got, badly, as did the other vloggers we know that visited Pakistan at the same time. I didn't drink any water from the tap, had no ice, but I did have a sip of tea from a street vendor which I think was the issue. This was no ordinary diarrhoea either, it was lethal. If you're going to visit Pakistan, do some pre-planning on how you're going to avoid it.

I put this to the government of Pakistan. Your citizens deserve safe drinking water. Do a better job. The same goes to the governments of Mexico and Peru and any other country without safe drinking water.
