Canada: Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem discusses latest interest rate decision – January 25, 2023

In Ottawa, Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem discusses the central bank's decision to raise its policy interest rate by 25 points to 4.5 per cent, the eighth consecutive increase since March 2023 as it continues its fight against high inflation. He also discusses the bank’s latest monetary policy report. Macklem is joined by senior deputy governor Carolyn Rogers.
