There are a number of good Mantis Shrimp flies available to anyone heading to salty destinations. I have to say my favorite is the Veverka's Mantis Shrimp. I have cast this fly many times to Bonefish and am often surprised at how it can turn a head even when I make a bad cast and the fly is ten feet from the fish. The craft fur dubbing comes to life under the water and the long pumpkin sili-legs never stop moving. If you are headed anywhere to chase some Bonefish I highly recommend this fly in you box. If you are someone just starting in fly tying I also recommend you spend some time tying a dozen or so. There are many techniques in this fly that will be used on many other flies. Plus it is a great fly to practice your direct dubbing technique as well as introduce you to making your own dubbing! - Enjoy

If you have any questions about the tying of this fly feel free to let me know in the comments below.
