What is the allegory of the woman of sorrow? (Genesis 3:16)

Hey everyone! In this video, we're going back to the beginning of the Scriptures to explore the spiritual meaning of some of the things God said to the first two humans He created. Specifically, we will be examining Genesis 3:16: "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

What was God trying to communicate to humanity in those statements? And could they mean more than just physical child labour pains?
