Jesus’ Model for Prayer (The Lord's Prayer) - Prayers of Power: Unlocking Omnipotence (Part 1)

In this new series on the prayers and pray-ers of the Bible we begin by looking at the archetypal prayer of Jesus. Popularly known as “The Lord’s Prayer”, this contains so many principles and elements that should be part of our conversations with God. We look at what prayer is and using the acronym “ACTIONS” we outline a process of prayer. ACTIONS stands for:

Adore
Confess
Thank
Intercede
Oppose
Needs
Silence

We explored how all these elements are found within the Lord's Prayer.

We also explored the evidence for the inclusion of the doxology in this prayer of Jesus - "For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen". The internal and external evidence is compelling for its conclusion. At the very least, it will not detract from the prayer to include this line.
