Motocross MC Flying Boetoe, Joure, The Netherlands early 2022

A glaze of dutch motocross, MC Flying Boetoe, Joure, located in the northern province Friesland, the Netherlands. The club has a 1.6 kilometer motocross circuit and a short dirt track oval. The soil is a mix of sand and sea clay which is common for this former seabed. It can be slippery and muddy in spring and autumn as well as desert like on hot summer days. The track is closed at winter from early to end oktober to about early to end march depend on the weather.

The Flying Boetoe organize several national motocross en international grass track races. The grass competitions are held at a other location in Joure called De Nutsbaan which a allround event area known for horse races, hot air balloon festival and annual national or international grass track races.

On some days you can find everything here, classic dirt bikes, all classes in 2 and 4 stroke, quads, enduro and sometimes speedway motorcycles on the dirt track. There is one motocross sidecar team, however motocross sidecars are rare in the north of the Netherlands. You mostly find them beneath the great rivers. The club has a remarkable lot of active female competition riders.
