In this video series, we take a closer look at the dispensation of promise as outlined in the Bible. This period covers the time from the call of Abram to the Exodus and is marked by God's establishment of an unconditional covenant with Abram. Through this covenant, God promises to make Abram a great nation, bless him, make his name great, and use him as a blessing to others.

As the steward of this dispensation, Abram is responsible for trusting in God's promises and staying in the land that God has given him. However, as we see in the story of Jacob and his descendants, the Israelites often fail to live up to this responsibility and turn to idolatry. The consequences of this failure are slavery in Egypt, but even in this dire situation, God's divine mercy shines through with the deliverance and preservation of the Israelites.
