Senator Buckson Discusses SB 29 and the Legislative Process

Senate Bill 29 received a committee hearing Wednesday, January 18th, and then was immediately brought to the Senate floor for an up or down vote in session. Senator Buckson believes that, regardless of whether the bill's substance is good or not, voting on legislation shortly after a committee hearing in which members of the public had a limited amount of time to testify is not the way the legislative process should work.
