Placing the Milwaukee FUEL M12 Stubby against the Ridgid 18-Volt Sub-Compact Impact Wrench was a suggestion from our subscribers. I really assumed we were going to be on to something and be able to prove what the specs of these tools already told us.

Something that came out of this was that there is a difference in power transmitted to the bolt when using deep well cockets compared to shallow well. That ended up being a small side test at the end. Very interesting.

I highly doubt that someone would buy one of these tools over the other and most purchases will be made because you are already in that specific battery line. In some way, these two tools are destined for different jobs. The Ridgid is less of an automotive tool and the Milwaukee M12 FUEL was born to work on cars.

It is interesting as they both do have the same modes and since TTI makes both of these, I assume many of the same internals and programming.
