Two girls have claimed Andrew Tate approached them on social media… when they still attended school.

Daria Gusa told the BBC that the 36-year-old messaged her on Instagram, where she had the name of her school in her bio, so it was “obvious” she still went to school. She was just 16 at the time. The message read “Romanian girl”, with a strawberry emoji.

Tate, who holds both US and British citizenship, is a social media influencer and former kickboxer known for his misogynistic comments - he has previously said that women are the property of men, that they are partially responsible for being raped, and he’s also admitted to running a webcam business, hiring his girlfriends as the models.

Gusa thinks Tate and his brother Tristan, who’s 34, were trying to find girls as innocent and naive as possible, when he reached out to her.

Another young woman, who wished to remain anonymous, told the BBC that Tristan messaged her online, saying she was beautiful. She said her friends had received the exact same message.

On the 29th of December, the Tate brothers were arrested on suspicion of rape, human trafficking and forming an organised crime group to exploit women.

These women have given their accounts at the same time that the Tate brothers have their detention in a Romanian jail extended for another 30 days.
