Does this Florida Woman Deserve to Go to Prison for Shooting Her Husband?

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses a terrible series of events which took place last weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida, where an elderly couple made a murder suicide pack to end their lives, but when the time came to execute the plan, the elderly wife was not able to turn the gun on herself. This, after she ended her husband's life, at this wishes and per his request. The woman now sits behind bars, being held without bail, for one count of Premeditated Murder and three more counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. But, does the law need to take into account all of the circumstances surrounding this event? Do more states need to create medically assisted end-of-life procedures so that terrible events like, which are not that uncommon, cease to occur? What really is the right answer? Today we ask more than we tell and ask all of you to share your thoughts as we arm ourselves with education.
