Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on January 23

Having liberated Krasnopolivka, the Wagner PMC troops continue to attack the AFU positions along the road to Siversk.

The Ukrainian units conducted several unsuccessful counterattacks. All of them were suppressed by concentrated artillery fire.

▪️Intense fighting between Russian paratroopers and AFU units near the village of Krasna Hora is underway.

Despite the large number of Ukrainian military equipment deployed to this area, the initiative remains with the Russian army units.

▪️The Wagner PMC units have entrenched themselves in the vicinity of Klishchiivka and are advancing towards the village of Krasne.

At the same time, enemy strongholds were destroyed and the control zone along the Siversky Donets-Donbass canal was expanded.

▪️Heavy street fighting continues in Mar’inka. The enemy pinned to the western outskirts of the city offers fierce resistance.

During the assault Russian units are actively using heavy armored vehicles, including T-90M Proryv tanks.

▪️Fighting resumed near Velyka Novosilka, where Russian Army units conducted a successful reconnaissance attack.

The operation disclosed enemy firing positions and several observation posts in the area.

▪️In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the intensity of fighting has decreased. The parties are pulling in fresh forces and conducting mutual reconnaissance.

Nevertheless, active shelling with the use of barrel and rocket artillery continues in the areas of the main strikes.

▪️At the same time, Russian troops managed to advance along the bank of the Dnieper River and dislodge Ukrainian units from Kam'yans'ke.

At the same time, the village itself has not yet been taken. The AFU artillery is delivering massive strikes on the attacking troops.
