The internet has given people a platform to express themselves and share their thoughts and ideas with a global audience which truly is such an amazing technology to harness and use for so many amazing things. Unfortunately, some individuals use this platform to hurt and exploit others in order to gain attention. Maybe they behave this way because they feel that they are not being heard or seen in their offline lives, and posting hurtful or ugly things about others rather true or not, is a way for them to feel powerful and in control over someone since they are not of themselves. No matter what the reason that encourages the initial choice to post, it's all to simply seek a reaction and attention from others. They choose to bully and harass online because they don't have to face the consequences of their actions like they would in a real world confrontation and you can imagine how for some that can feel powerful and dominating. This anonymity can make people feel emboldened to say things that they wouldn't say in person and behave in ways they wouldn't have the courage to do to someone's face. Why? because deep down inside they know that even though they find like minds who fuel their validation by the abuse of others, they know its wrong and not something they can be proud of as a whole. Online bullying or trolling can have serious consequences for its victims. It can cause emotional distress and lead to feelings of isolation and depression. Which can at times have even more severe consequences.

This behavior is known to not only have serious consequences for its victims, but also at times for those who choose to abuse others online when they are held accountable for their grotesque choices in behavior towards others. It is important that individuals take responsibility for their actions online and consider the impact they may have on others before making posts at the costs of others. To make the choice to treat others in such inhuman ways, shows a great lack in moral compass and ultimately can only harm you in the end becausethe hate you spread is your truth, noth the truth of the people you project it onto. Choose to do better in real life and online with your interactions with others, and content sharing. The internet can be both an amazing endless world of connection, learning, sharing and possibilities. It can also be the darkest cruel monster one has crossed paths with. Make sure you are logged in on the right server, and be kind online.
