In this specific passage, James explains how faith without works is dead and completely useless. But doesn’t this contradict what Paul says in Ephesians when he says that we’re saved by grace and not of works? And therefore, if we’re saved by God’s grace through faith and not by our works, then why do good works even matter in the Christian life?
