California mass shooting after lunar new year celebrations leaves 10 dead

At least 10 people have died in a shooting in Monterey Park. The incident happened after lunar new year celebrations that attracted thousands in the city, which is home to a large Asian population and is about 10 miles (16km) from downtown Los Angeles. Rescuers rushed those injured in the shooting to nearby hospitals as police closed off the area.
