Summary:
I packed up and headed to safe zones which I now found marked on the maps. The first safe zone I found was just a lighthouse; I repaired something and that was it. That's where I noticed on the map where it marked safe zones. While heading to one I died in front of the police station. Didn't realize there were so many invisible zombies.
