Keith Olivier was part of the last group of sappers to work at Elundu Base. His section (and another) provided mine clearing and water provision at the little outpost between January 1987 to September when the MOV's took over the routine road sweeping work. Elundu Base was then demolished and abandoned. His team of 8 sappers swept approximately 4000km of road in that time. Also, the Base was attacked twice in 1987 with a very large number of casualties in the first attack. If you have questions for Keith, leave them below.
