Many Christians starting out may assume that now that they are saved Satan can't touch them. They'll soon learn that the need to USE the spiritual weapons God has given them to fend off Satan's attacks against them are NOT optional if they desire to walk in any degree of spiritual victory.

Many young Christians are not being taught that 1 Peter 5:8 applies to THEM! It reads: "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

Unbelievers are no threat and of little concern to Satan other than being vessels he can use to work through. It's seriously minded Christian believers who are the greatest threat to him, especially those who are serious about pleasing Jesus by walking in righteousness, and availing themselves to help win lost souls (as He desires we ALL purpose to do so), because they realize they are commissioned soldiers of Jesus Christ called by Him to help rescue the lost souls of others, and to minister help to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are being sifted by the devil to one degree or another.

God has given us Ephesians 6:10-18 to help us walk in spiritual victory. Every Christian who wants to walk in greater spiritual victory needs to know WHAT the spiritual weapons ARE that God gives us to USE against the constant attacks of Satan to rob us of our peace and joy and confidence in God.

We cannot encourage young believers enough to take the time to learn about the spiritual weapons God has available for BELIEVERS in Ephesians 6:10-18. The internet provides numerous teachings on the subject. Type into search: HOW TO USE THE SPIRITUAL ARMOR OF GOD - for starters.

Learn the WISDOM of the kind of warfare praying this sister prays at the end of her video. Learn to pray with the wisdom and our authority in Christ she understands to pray with. Satan cringes when prayers like this is prayed either over yourself, or another believer under attack needing help.

Depression is one of the most common spiritual attacks Satan launches against Christians. He can use physiological means (chemical - nutritional imbalances) to launch it against us, but more commonly, he gets us thinking THOUGHTS (lies!) that do NOT line up with God's Word.

God can't say it any plainer to us: "... Taking EVERY THOUGHT captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:10). Jesus Christ is THE Word. The holy Bible is God's Word. Our feelings can be so manipulated by Satan. Obedience to God's Word is what counts TO WALK IN GREATER SPIRITUAL VICTORY and is what Satan fears the most when we put our mind to it. Our dependence on the Holy Spirit is vital in helping us "put our mind to it." Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not a casual "suggestion" from God (See: Ephesians 5:18). Walking in spiritual victory doesn't "just happen." It requires dedicated. daily offensive spiritual fighting.

The greatest battle every Christian experiences is in their mind. It's a battle for our thought-life. If we are NOT applying daily the Ephesians 6 spiritual weapons, we are opening doors for Satan to attack our thought-life, and (along with other painful situations we often face that Satan sends our way).

Along with the spiritual weapons given to us in Ephesians 6 are the spiritual weapons of THANKSGIVING and PRAISE. Satan loves Christians who aren't THANKFUL. He loves even more Christians who don't use the spiritual weapon of PRAISE frequently. They are so much easier to influence for his evil purposes ... to keep us WEAK and WOUNDED Jesus warriors.

FASTING is also a mighty spiritual weapon God wants us using when necessary. When prayer and trust alone isn't getting the job done ... STRONGLY CONSIDER employing the spiritual weapon of FASTING. FASTING can stop depression and/or suicide thoughts quickly. FASTING is the equivalent of a NUCLEAR spiritual warhead against demonic attacks. Starting out, learn to go a day without solid food, taking in only quality, nutritious liquids. God promises us in Matthew 6:16-18 He will somehow reward us when we fast. Receiving freedom - deliverance - victory from and over demonic attacks is one of the most common ways God rewards us when we utilize this mighty spiritual weapon.

Satan constantly wants to get us FRUSTRATED with God, because there is little else that robs us of spiritual victory than allowing ourselves to STAY frustrated with God. Frustration leads to discouragement. Discouragement leads to lack of confidence in our prayers and trusting -- spiritual apathy -- diminishing our desire to walk in spiritual victory which then makes us a much less threat to hindering Satan's purposes on this planet.

Jesus desires we work HARD at walking in daily spiritual victory to keep our JOY. It doesn't "just happen" because we would like it to. It requires active, persistent discipline.
