Skyrim (mods) - Our Current Load Order - January 2023

General Load Order Guide
In general, I group my mods logically like this:
1. Anything the modder says needs to be high or at the top of the Load Order. (USSEP, Cutting Room floor, large overhauls, etc.)
2. Any quest changes. (Boethiah for Good Guys, etc.)
3. Menu/HUD Changes
4. Sound/Voice/Audio files
5. SMIM/Textures/re-textures - (Friendly SMIM, Skyland, Dark ages, etc.)
6. Landscapes, Tree and grass and flower mods
7. Weather/Sky mods (HD Stars, Legendary Weathers)
8. Any game play changes (AFT, Mighty Dragons, Free crafting, Unlimited Enchantments)
9. World Items edited/changed (Magical College of Winterhold, Unique Bridges, Breezehome mods)
10. World additions (Forgotten Dungeons, Lamp Posts, Cheat Room, Player homes)
11. Armor/weapon replacers (WIP/Test - BD UUNP Armor and Clothes)
12. Additonal Weapons/Armors (Thor's Hammer, Viking shields)
13. NPC Replacers (Botox, Enhanced Atronachs, Female Mannequins)
14. Added NPCs (Wenches mods, Merchants in Inns, Genesis Mods etc.)
15. Followers (Shenobi, Silla, Ciri, Sha, etc.)
16. Player Character mods (Usually Hair, presets, body, teeth, eyes, colors of skin and hair)
17. Skin Textures (Beauties of Skyrim, etc.)
18. Map Texture mods - (Quality World Map, etc.)
19. Water mods (Cathedral Water Overhaul)
20. Some NPC Replacers (Seranahaolic, Elisif Replacer) - For some reason I have found a number of replacers or "Makeovers" that just work better down here. (Most likely due to KS Hairdos Lite.)
21. Skeleton and Animations - XP32, TBBP Animations, Dualsun, etc.
22. Patches/things the modder says should be low or at the bottom/things I found only worked at the bottom. (Alternate Start, More Females, Rich Merchants)

Always try to use the modders' suggestion/recommendation as they should know the most about their mod.

I hope this general guideline will be useful. Please be aware that you can see a few exceptions in my own load order. Either dictated by the modder or figured out by myself.
