Growing Tomatoes In An Aquarium Converted Into Self Watering Seedling Starter

18 tomato seedlings in a self watering system!

I've had this idea for quite some time now since this extra aquarium has just been sitting around. I was going to convert it into another fish aquarium with an Aquaponic system set up on top of it like the one in our living room, but I wanted to utilize the aquarium lighting on the top cover. So I decided to put the plants and growing area inside, but on top of a low seated rack to float them above the water and allow the wicks to absorb the water directly into the soil.
I'll let the water level drop until it's empty to see approximately how many days between watering cycles. My guess is at least 2 weeks, possibly 1 month, for now, until the seedlings grow bigger and need more water. At that point it will probably need to be watered at least once a week.

This should work extremely well!
