Website Platforms Part 1

When it comes to websites, there really is a huge amount of choices that you could make. And over the years, I've worked with many different systems I personally now just work with WordPress, and I'll tell you why in a minute.
However, that being said, that's not the only system out there and it's not the best system for everybody. It is, in my opinion, for me and for many business owners. There are systems out there like Wix and Weebly and Squarespace,
and there's probably at least a dozen more that are what you call, what you see, what you get builders. And WordPress is too. However, wordpress.com falls into the same category.

When you get into one of these systems, whatever they offer is what they offer. And it works great if all you want is what they offer. When you want to grow and expand and now they don't offer something. An example of that would be, let's say, you started as a service provider and you just have your basic, five page website it's more like a brochure site and it's like, here's what I do, here's what I offer, here's why you want to use me. Go anywhere to get that. But now, let's say, five years later, you want to add a membership to that.

Well, if you happen to have chosen a platform that allows for memberships, great. But if not, now you're going to be rebuilding in a platform that does allow memberships or you're going to end up with two websites. One on a membership platform and one you originally had.
