Atlantic bluefin tuna is a species of bluefin tuna in the family Scombridae. This fish is also known as northern bluefin tuna, giant bluefin tuna and previously also called tunny. Atlantic bluefin tuna is native to the West and East Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Mediterranean Sea.
