Seeking Clarity | My New Year Reflections

I've recently found myself seeking clarity - and as my new year reflects, I am looking for ways to further challenge myself in my creativity. Now entering a new chapter of life, my new year reflections are often best entertained when I am alone in the beautiful nature. I recently had a chance to spend some time by the lake and I found clarity by being out in nature and taking the time to pray to God and seek intimacy with Him. Pressing in to the Lord and what He has for us is the best way to gain assurance and confidence for approaching overwhelming circumstances. Self-reflecting in nature is a great opportunity for the Lord to speak with us and help us to better recognize His plan and destiny for our lives. I am so thankful that my life is in the hands of the One true Creator God, maker of the universe, and Savior of the world.

Today's video is a little bit of Christmas at home and some clips from a walking tour of St. Augustine with David. I have had some of this footage for awhile now so I do apologize that it is a bit late in being shared. I hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery, the gingerbread waffle recipe, and my chit chat at the end where I just take some time to be real with you. Gingerbread Waffles Recipe:

Ingredients -
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg
3/4 milk
2 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp avocado oil

Directions -
In a medium bowl combine flour, pice, salt, and baking soda.
Whisk together the egg, milk, molasses, and avocado oil.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring (or whisking) until just combined.
Spray your waffle maker with avocado oil to prevent sticking
Pour 1/4 cup (or more if your waffle maker is larger than mine) of batter onto the surface and allow to cook all the way through. Enjoy!
