The Lethbridge International Airshow is hoping to take flight once again this year. A presentation by airshow officials was made at an Economic SPC meeting on Wednesday asking for funding of $17,500 to put toward the event this year. Members of the SPC voted unanimously to recommend to City Council that they approve the request for funds for this year and next.

Dallas Harty, the president of the airshow was asked about the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force in 2024 and if local military history will be showcased at the event.

Harty says more than 15,000 people attended the Lethbridge International Airshow in 2022.
