Cataclysmic Solar Outbursts Hit Earth Regularly

There are two competing theories about what happened on Earth between that catastrophic period between 10,800 BC to 9,600 BC (the Younger Dryas), when mankind and a large number of megafauna species were almost wiped completely from the face of the Earth.

Some scientists say it was a huge part of a giant, fractured comet that hit the North American and European ice caps in 10,800 BC, and some say the mass extinction of megafauna across North America, as well as the disappearance of the Clovis and Folsum people was caused by solar activity alone.
...
I think both things happened, which is not impossible given the fact that our entire solar system is hurtling through the Milky Way at 492,126 miles per hour, encountering interstellar comets, asteroids, and possibly even a dead partner star that was discovered by the Pioneer Probes in the 1980s, while on its journey.

So, who knows what we might collide with now and again. Meanwhile, our Sun has [very predictable] cycles that it goes through, both long term and short, that cause it to rain death and destruction down upon the Earth on a regular basis in the form of solar outbursts. Therefore, you would be wise to pay close attention to both of these theories, and keep an open mind, just as I do.
