Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur head castles of Malla and Shah Kings, who once governed over Kathmandu city. The square was a piece of the durbar, dating back to the 17th century, yet after the earthquake in 1934, the durbar was impacted most terrible; it was remade and updated, and in 1979 Durbar Square was enrolled in the UNESCO World Legacy site.
