Lance Kearse, a former professional basketball player in Spain, and now founder of Kaptainplantit, suffered from the Sickle Cell Trait which is a hereditary blood condition that is induced when the body is placed under rigorous demands.  
Montre Hartage, a former NFL player for the New York Giants, and now co-founder of Kaptainplantit, faced several struggles with his health that could not be aided by Western medicine.
Montre and Lance chose to adopt a holistic lifestyle and is passionate about educating people on what it takes to lay a foundation for long-term mental and physical well-being.  Montre believes in order to overcome you must train the mind to overcome bad habits by incorporating healthy habits into your routine.
