Lynnwood residents both recent and past drew to the Lynnwood commercial space on 196th and 24th St to draw attention via protest to city planned Methadone Clinic in that location's space.

From City Council Speakers to Medically Practicing Tenants in the commerical building, speakers came out and spoke against the proposed opioid clinic in Lynnwood due to the limitations of the space as well as to the startling fact WA state health department have been unheard in addressing the fact it is two minute walking distance from the boys and girls club!

This has raised the stakes in their claims: direct implications are opioid centers of the proposed size will draw said too many users and drug related crime into reach of youth centers.

To further complicate the matters, it has been stressed by residents that Lynnwood mayor and city officials have rushed this without appropriate notice/public comment to lay this and other considerations into focus before approving the clinic's construction.

This took place in Lynnwood, WA in Snohomish County at 1 pm and 100+ members of the public were present to lay out these and more problems with the construction to all sorts of News Channel crews from KOMO to independent journalists as Jonathan Choe.
