Winter creek crappie, fishing for crappie, Slab crappie on jigs with no electronic. Big crappie

Jet boating into a creek in East Texas for winter crappie fishing. I am not using any electronics today just pepop hand tied jigs. The jigs are black and chartreuse in 1/8oz with sickle hooks. These are quickly becoming my favorite jigs. I am fishing with a shimano 24I00 reel, 20lb fire line, and 12ft b&m rod.

I am locating the crappie in the deep trenches in the creek bottom. I am not jigging the jig. I am slow swimming the jig inches off the bottom. I end the day with 21 crappie and 5 absolute tanks. I have the joy of meeting a fan and being able to help him get some crappie, as well as, give him a few jigs.
