The Secret History of Political Islam!

A short review of the Ottoman Islamic movement in the period 1908-1923, before it was erased by the Turkish republic. These religious scholars and devout intellectuals did the ideological groundwork for the Islamist movement that later emerged in Egypt and elsewhere in the Middle East. But they rarely feature in histories of modern Islamic thought.
