A French series that became a cult sensation, in trying to treat supernatural phenomena such as ghosts and witches with a documentary style approach.

The Forbidden Files, films of Jean-Teddy Filipppe, flirt with fantasy featuring pictures and voiceovers to create the illusion of a documentary about the strange events from around the world.

Les Documents Interdits (translated "The Forbidden Files" or "Forbidden Documents"), by Jean Teddy-Felippe. They offer a glimpse into a world of the strange, the impossible, the mysterious and occasionally the terrifying. It's found footage format is very unusual for it's 1989 air date, a decade before the Blair Witch Project popularized that style of film making.
