Australians can vote to make crypto legal tender

The Liberal Democrats have a long history of defending freedoms. Their latest Freedom Manifesto can be found at https://www.ldp.org.au/freedom. Inside we read that LibDems want to "Classifying cryptocurrency as a currency. Traders of traditional currencies do not have to pay capital gains tax (CGT) if the value of their holdings increases compared to the Australian Dollar, but as cryptocurrency is classified as an asset its traders are unfairly discriminated against."
