In this thought-provoking video, I podcast about how society is punishing both men and women for embracing their traditional gender roles. I delve into how men are being stigmatized for being masculine and how women are being shamed for being feminine. Through a series of recent events things have come to light and lots of people are waking up. There are detrimental effects of this societal shift on individuals and relationships being forced to accept norms that most don't actually agree with.

The fast-food industry, the makeup industry and so many more play a huge role in creating a culture of dependence. The fast-food industry heavily markets unhealthy options and promotes an unhealthy relationship with food. This leads to individuals becoming dependent on these foods for their daily sustenance, as well as for emotional comfort. Similarly, the makeup industry heavily markets products that are marketed as a necessity for women to feel confident and beautiful. The message being promoted is that women need these products to feel good about themselves. This creates a dependence on these products, leading to a cycle of low self-esteem and a constant need for external validation. This culture of dependence is not only harmful to individuals but also to society as a whole, as it perpetuates unhealthy standards.

Just like when we used to advertise smoking. Claiming it was healthy and cool.... Imagine trying to say it's not back then, you'd be called crazy.
